Throughout the past year, JDA member Danielle Sobkin and her co-founder Hannah Levin have been building Reportify, a start-up that uses Generative AI for college campus reporting.
The two found a broken system of hate crime reporting that discourages victims from coming forward, while failing to keep institutions accountable. Rather than letting this lack of accountability continue to perpetuate antisemitism, leaving incidents unaddressed and students unsupported, they created Reportify and have begun to transform the fight against campus hate crimes. By automating and streamlining the reporting process, marrying technology and user-first design, Reportify ensures accurate submissions, transforming scattered thoughts into concise incident reports. The platform auto-populates incident reports, tracks responses in real-time, and empowers students to hold institutions accountable while reclaiming campus safety.
This past Monday, on December 16th, the two won the ADIR Challenge- a global technology and innovation challenge to combat antisemitism and hate. As first-generation students and daughters of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, this moment is extremely important for both founders. We are looking forward to watching all that Reportify accomplishes as they continue to grow!
