Following October 7, Daniel Agmoni quickly pivoted his workplan goals to help Israel and the under-prepared Israeli Defense Forces. Together with Jewish community in Japan, Daniel raised approximately $45,000 for his IDF unit to secure ballistic helmets, tactical uniforms, and vests. Additionally, Daniel continued matching students through Start-Up Nation Mentorship (SUNM) during an increasingly tense and hostile college environment. He ended up matching 300+ students over the academic year single-handedly. Through SUNM, he also oversaw the rapid expansion of campus directors in the UK.
In March, Daniel, alongside other Duke students, organized and led a 4-day solidarity trip to Israel, where they visited the kibbutzim in the South, the Nova festival site, Brothers for Life, Hostage Square, Tel HaShomer Hospital, Hostage Families, Displaced families, and military bases near Gaza. They raised almost $50,000 purely for donations on this trip.
