World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder met Tuesday with nine new members of the WJC’s Jewish Diplomatic Corps (WJC-JDCorps) in London.
Lauder and the JDs discussed a range of current issues affecting world Jewry, and the World Jewish Congress’ role and actions in contending with the topics at hand.
The issues on the agenda included the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement in the United Kingdom, the Jewish reaction to the heightened migration from the Middle East, and how the JDs based in Britain could assist the WJC is in its diplomatic efforts to this regard.
Each discussion topic was followed by a question-answer session with Lauder. The event was moderated by veteran WJC-JD Jacob Turner.
The World Jewish Congress' Jewish Diplomatic Corps is a worldwide network of outstanding young Jewish professionals who voluntarily engage in diplomacy and public policy.
