NEW YORK – The World Jewish Congress has strongly condemned the “deplorable and despicable act” which left 17 people dead at Parkland High School in Florida on Wednesday, in one of the 10 deadliest school shootings in US history.
World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder said: “The World Jewish Congress vehemently condemns the deplorable and despicable mass shooting which left 17 people dead at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida yesterday, and mourns the senseless loss of lives in this unspeakable tragedy. Such brutal crimes, regardless of the motive or identity of the attacker, strike directly at the heart of the values of freedom and liberty that our society was built on. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, and all Americans, at this difficult time.”
