An American yeshiva student, 22, was lightly wounded on Friday when a Palestinian resident of East Jerusalem stabbed him in the torso near the light rail station on Ammunition Hill.
An Israeli student, 20, was moderately hurt when an errant bullet fired by police at the 23-year-old assailant struck him in the leg. The attacker was shot down by security forces and a civilian at the scene while trying to stab another victim.
Earlier Friday, two Palestinians were shot by security forces while charging at a West Bank junction carrying knives. One of the Palestinians was killed and the other was critically wounded.
Also Friday, 13-year-old Ahmed Mansara, who stabbed two Israelis in Jerusalem earlier in the month, was charged with attempted murder. Mansara, who was wounded by police after the attack, was being treated in an Israeli hospital.
