Description
Interns in the World Jewish Congress Executive Office will gain insight into how the WJC and its staff serve Jewish communities in 100 countries. Interns will interact with the CEO of World Jewish Congress, his staff, Jewish leaders, government officials, and WJC constituents on a daily basis. They will act as support to office staff and will perform multiple tasks and assignments including: drafting letters, maintaining diplomatic relations, addressing constituent concerns, conducting research, assisting the CEO and other senior staff at meetings and events, preparation of reports, and additional projects. Interns will be involved and participate in the general activities of the WJC’s global headquarters.
Positions available on a rolling basis.
The internship position is unpaid. Students are often able to gain academic credit for their internship with the World Jewish Congress.
Qualifications
The position is open to students and graduates majoring in Political Science, International Relations, Communication, Law, Public Policy, and related fields of study.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of Hebrew will be preferred but not required.
The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to, and understanding of, Jewish diaspora interests as well as the State of Israel.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, independent thinking, and initiative are essential.
