Last week the Manitoba community welcomed Canada and Israel’s Special Envoys for Combatting Antisemitism Michal Cotler-Wunsch and Deborah Lyons. Former Lauder Fellow and JDA Member, Emma Zentner, sat down with the Special Envoys, the Mauro Institute for Peace and Justice, and leadership from the city’s university institutions to discuss the challenges being faced both on campus and in the educational system.
Current Lauder Fellow, Ilan Janet, is creating an art collective of Jews, Zionists and allies. He held his first meeting on September 29th, where the group came together to meet and discuss the upcoming year.

Noah Loven, Lauder Fellow and President of the Australian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS), spoke before Australia's Senate Committee Inquiry. At the session, the topic brought to the table was a Commission of Inquiry into Antisemitism at Australian universities.
World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) President and WJC Executive Committee member, Yana Naftalieva, discussed the work of WUJS and how the situation on campuses worldwide has changed for Jewish national student unions since October 7th.
JDA Member and former Lauder Fellow, Daniel Mautner, has been elected to the International Division of the Board of Deputies of British Jews (BoD). The division focuses on global advocacy issues, including countering antisemitism, combating Holocaust revisionism, and attacks on Jewish religious freedoms.
