From November 5th to 7th, 14 members of WJC Elevate and global changemakers from seven countries travelled to Israel to witness the ground realities in the area around the Gaza border following the horrific Hamas massacre of October 7th, 2023.

The Swedish Committee Against Antisemitism (SKMA) awarded their 2023 ELSA Prize to the Jewish Youth Association of Sweden (JUS). This was awarded to them for their significant efforts to counter antisemitism and to enlighten Jewish life and identity in Sweden.

In October, a delegation representing NextGen attended the WJC Executive Committee in Zagreb, Croatia. Here they discussed the ongoing war in Israel, the rise of antisemitism in their home communities and around the world, as well as the importance of women empowerment in Jewish spaces.

On Wednesday, November 1st, the Jewish Society sports team, Hapoel Hyde Park, was scheduled to play the Arab Society League, an event that usually takes place.
