JD Academy member Shayna Wise-Till (Canada) led a delegation of young Jewish leaders to speak with the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., to discuss the Jewish future. (Pictured Left)
L’Taken is a program run by the Religious Action Centre of Reform Judaism. I led a delegation of 10 Canadians who, along with hundreds of American high school students, learned about advocacy and how to lobby the government, and the trip culminated with a visit to the Canadian Embassy in D.C., where we spoke about issues such as antisemitism and environmental justice. We’re really excited to be bringing this program to Ottawa in the fall!
Shayna also met with the Czech Consul General in Toronto alongside WJC Jewish Diplomatic Corps members Adam Hummel and Ruben Perez. The group discussed topics such as the Czech Minister of Defense’s recent trip to Israel, the upcoming EU elections, and the history of relations between the two countries. (Pictured Right)
