WJC Elevate Invites a Group of Global Changemakers to Israel

From November 5th to 7th, 14 members of WJC Elevate and global changemakers from seven countries travelled to Israel to witness the ground realities in the area around the Gaza border following the horrific Hamas massacre of October 7th, 2023.

The group visited Kfar Azza, one of the kibbutzim destroyed by Hamas terrorists, and Sderot, a city in the South where there was a heroic battle against the terrorists at the local police station. WJC also sponsored a BBQ dinner for Air Force soldiers.

The delegation also visited Shefayim, a kibbutz in central Israel now housing evacuees from Kfar Azza, and met with survivors of the October 7th massacre and families of the hostages in Gaza. The day ended with a visit to a supplies distribution center for evacuees from the South and the North.

As misinformation and antisemitism continue to spread, it is imperative for young leaders to obtain first-hand accounts of the atrocities of October 7th to share with their communities - and the world - the facts on the ground of the brutality of what occurred.
