The 1963 March on Washington

On August 28, 1963, 250,000 people marched in Washington DC demanding civil rights for African Americans in the US. Among the organizers and speakers of the event was Rabbi Joachim Prinz, who had escaped Nazi Germany and became a prominent Jewish leader in America. A supporter of the civil right movement, he spoke about Jewish solidarity with the oppressed.
