A Message Of Unity On Jewish, Christian and Muslim Holidays

07 Apr 2020

As Jewish families around the globe prepare for Passover, Christian families for Easter, and Muslim families for Ramadan amidst the global health pandemic, World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder issued a video message acknowledging the challenges the spread of the Coronavirus has created for religious gathering, while highlighting the ways people of different faiths have come together in responding to shared circumstances.

In sharing the story of concentration camp prisoners saving scraps of food to commemorate Passover in the barracks during the Holocaust, Ambassador Lauder highlighted the Jewish people’s courage, strength and resiliency. He lauded governments for their support of Jewish communities and encouraged families to prioritize the most vulnerable community members, particularly the elderly, to ensure they don’t feel alone during the holidays. He closed by wishing well all those celebrating Passover, Easter and Ramadan.
