World Jewish Congress mourns death of Noah Klieger, recipient of 2018 WJC We Remember Award

The World Jewish Congress mourns the passing of Noah Klieger, preeminent Israeli journalist and Holocaust survivor, who dedicated his career to covering the trials of Nazi criminals and lecturing around the world about the horrors of the Holocaust. In 2018, Mr. Klieger received the World Jewish Congress’ first We Remember Award for his commitment to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and its victims.

“Noah Klieger was a hero of his generation and an inspiration to the Jewish people,” WJC CEO and Executive Vice President Robert Singer said. “Mr. Klieger survived the horrors of the Auschwitz death camp with courage and resilience and dedicated his life to ensuring that people around the world forever remember the victims, their suffering, and the evil of the Nazi criminals. The World Jewish Congress bows its head to this purveyor of truth and justice and sends our condolences to his family and friends. His contribution to the preservation of Holocaust memory will never be forgotten.”
