World Jewish Congress condemns fatal attacks in Atlanta

18 Mar 2021

NEW YORK — In response to the horrific violence in Atlanta killing eight, including seven women, six of whom were of Asian descent, World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder declared:

“Together with all Americans of good will, I am appalled and deeply saddened by the unconscionable wave of violence, brutality, and hatred directed at Asians and Asian-Americans. I commend President Biden and Vice President Harris for calling out these manifestations of bigotry, and associate myself and the World Jewish Congress fully with their initiatives to root out and eradicate this and all other forms of prejudice and intolerance, including antisemitism, racism, Islamophobia, sexism, and discrimination aimed at the LGBTQ community.”
