Hate unleashed: During WWII, over a period of four years, between 77,000 and 104,000 people - Serbs, Jews, Roma, and other non-Catholics - were murdered in Jasenovac by the Croatian UstaĊĦa regime. One prisoner described Jasenovac as "an unheard death camp." On April 22, 1945, a prisoners' breakout led to the camp's liquidation. This is the story of the horrors that happened there.
On April 12, 2019, the Jewish community of Croatia is holding a commemoration in memory of those killed at Jasenovac concentration camp - together with the Serbian and Roma communities.
