Vladimir Slutsker, president of the Russian Jewish Congress, has said a Cabbalistic curse invoked several days ago on Israel's prime minister Ariel Sharon for his plans of one-sided separation from Gaza Strip was not valid. "Cabbala is the inner contents of Judaism, which teaches love, ways of attaining the goal of the creation and ways of loving the Creator in the same way as He loves His creation. Cabbala had nothing to do with black magic or damnation", Slutsker told the Russian news agency "Interfax", and "those who perform such rites have nothing to do with Cabbala". The cabbalistic "Pulsa di Nura" curse, which was invoked on Sharon, means "hit of fire" in Aramaic. The rite was performed by 20 Jews in Russia appealing to God to send angels of death to strike the prime minister.
