The WJC-affiliated Jewish Community of Panama donated 300 bags of food and the Hebrew Ladies of WIZO donated 200 cans of milk to the office of First Lady Yazmín Colón de Cortizo. The donations will support Panamanian families suffering from the coronavirus pandemic.
A spokesperson for the Jewish Community of Panama explained that the organization hopes the contributions will help fulfill the basic needs of Panamanians and highlight the Jewish community’s commitment to supporting those in need.
In her remarks, the First Lady thanked the Jewish community members for their commitment to helping disadvantaged Panamanians.
