The Jewish philantrophist Andrea Bronfman has died in New York City after she being hit by a car. Andrea Bronfman was the wife of Charles Bronfman, brother of World Jewish Congress President, Edgar M. Bronfman. They have five children. “Her way was that of the Jewish matriarchs, and her passing leaves a void that can never be filled as she was 'Niktifah B’dmei Yameha', cut off in the prime of her life. Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Charles and their children, as well as the entire Bronfman family as they mourn the passing of a true 'Eshet Chayil' [Woman of Valor]", WJC leaders Israel Singer and Stephen E. Herbits said in a statement.
