A 19-year-old Israel Defense Forces soldier and student at the Machanayim yeshiva was stabbed to death in a terrorist attack the West Bank settlement bloc of Gush Etzion late Wednesday. His body was found on the side of a road near the seminary.
Hundreds of people attended the funeral of Dvir Sorek, a resident of Ofra, on Thursday.
Israeli authorities have increased their presence in the West Bank, and a manhunt was opened in search of the assailants. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denounced the killing as a terrorist attack and vowed the killers would be brought to justice.
