The Associated Press has said that it will review its arrangement with al-Manar television after the Lebanese station was placed on a US terrorist list. “We have an existing contract with al-Manar and will review this is in light of the State department ruling,” an AP spokesman told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. The American government had placed al-Manar on its terrorist exclusion list last week because of evidence that it is affiliated with the terrorist group Hezbollah. Al-Manar employs one person in the United States, who occasionally uses AP Television News facilities in Washington to transmit material. The exclusion list blocks aliens having anything to do with listed groups from entering the United States, which could affect the AP’s foreign staff.
