1st WJC National Community Directors' Forum

16 November - 17 November 2014

The World Jewish Congress’s first National Community Directors Forum, which was held in the Czech capital Prague, brought together the chief professional officers of WJC-affiliated Jewish umbrella organizations in 45 countries with senior WJC staff in order to share experiences, to exchange views with WJC professionals, and to develop ways to work together to find joint solutions to the challenges currently faced by Jews around the world. On the agenda were, among other things, rising anti-Semitism and the growth of neo-Nazi movements in Europe, as well as measures to counter hatred of Israel. The meeting was addressed by WJC President Ronald S. Lauder and chaired by WJC CEO Robert Singer.
