Having served as Director of Finance and Administration and then Chief Financial Office since 2006, Chaim Reiss became Chief Fiancial Officer Emeritus and Special Financial Advisor to the WJC in July 2018.
Under Mr. Reiss’s leadership, the WJC achieved tremendous improvements in the areas of internal control, financial oversight, governance, transparency, and administrative management. Mr. Reiss is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the New York State Society of CPA’s, and serves on the Not-for-Profit Committee of the NYSSCPA’s. Mr. Reiss is also a member of the Financial Planning Association and has published articles in the areas of finance and taxation.
Mr. Reiss, a graduate of Brooklyn College, also received rabbinical ordination from the world renowned Mirrer Yeshiva.
Mr. Reiss is an accomplished and respected professional with over 25 years of not-for-profit experience and communal service. Prior to joining the WJC, Mr. Reiss served as the Vice-President of Finance and Administration of the American Associates of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev for 18 years.
