International Organizations
Since its founding in 1936 the World Jewish Community has been actively and energetically engaged in maintaining productive ties with the international community. We feel that nurturing positive working relationships with these bodies is one of the most important keys to our successes, serving as the face of world Judaism and the permanent address of the Jewish people.
Below we recap how some of these relationships have been shaped and leveraged over the years. As you can see, there are significant challenges to remaining positive and constructive as the world community we live in sometimes takes new and threatening turns.
But we will never cease our efforts to keep our lines of communication open with these world bodies and to constantly strive to sustain a free, healthy and respectful exchange of ideas between the WJC and the mix of world governments, international bodies and non-governmental organizations.
