Petition to the Pope on Holocaust Denial

Bishop Williamson is entitled to his opinion. But to publicly voice that opinion on such a sensitive issue, shouts out that he is not worthy of the position that he holds in the Catholic Church. A man of God – I think not. He should be stripped of his position. Maybe if he goes back to grassroots, he will begin living and practising his religion. I presume he is not a fool or senile. So the questions are: Why did he publicly make that statement? What does he hope to achieve? Who is he aligning himself with? Such denial does nothing to heal wounds and build bridges. The holocaust is a fact and denying the truth in the light of irrefutable evidence reflects badly on the church and Christianity. 04 Nov 2010

Therefore, if by history, there was any Jew that died in the Nazi gas chambers and some priests of the Church publicly denied it, such priests' ultrances should not only be condemned, the priests should be excommunicated from the Church for misinforming the people.  04 Nov 2010

My mother was taken from her home by the Nazis in 1943 as a 14 year old child....she was transported to Germany in a cattle car and suffered unspeakable tragedy...she was the only survivor in her entire extended family...she met my father, an American Jewish soldier in a displaced person camp..They were married in 1948...my mother had the scars to prove what she went thru..please,please don't allow this hatred to continue to flourish..... 04 Nov 2010
