WJC President Ronald S. Lauder to address antisemitism at conference on ‘European Values’ hosted by Austrian government

16 Nov 2018

World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder is due to address the closing session of a conference on ‘European Values’, which will be hosted by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Interior on Tuesday, 20 November 2018, in Vienna.

The conference, which will be televised and streamed online, will tackle a number of key issues of concern in a number of European countries today, including a session dealing solely with the issue of antisemitism.

Ronald S. Lauder said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Austrian Government for giving me the platform to speak at this highly important event. The conference on European Values could not have taken place at more important moment, with Jewish communities across Europe increasingly concerned with the security and welfare of their communities in the wake of increased antisemitism. I look forward to raising the need to take a pan-European approach to the key issue of security and I’m pleased that the Austrian Government has already expended great efforts to raise this on a European level.”
