Israel’s Foreign Ministry has in recent days received the full list of major companies that are expected to be included on the United Nation Human Rights Council’s “blacklist” of Israeli entities operated beyond the Green Line, which is scheduled to be published at the end of this year.
The UNHRC plans to go ahead with its blacklist despite heavy Israeli and American pressure. The list includes companies operating in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Golan Heights.
Among others, the list includes: Teva, Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi, Bezek, Elbit, Coca Cola, Africa-Israel, IDB, Egged, Mekorot, and Netafim.
The list also includes major American companies working in Israel, such as Trip Advisor, Airbnb, and Caterpiller.
US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has threatened that if the list is published, the US would cease its funding to the UNHRC and may continue even exiting the council – a step that had been taken in the past.
Despite these threats, he UNHRC commissioner Zaed Raad Al Hussein is planning publish the list in December.
