Conference - "The Rights of Israel as a Nation-State of the Jewish People in International Diplomacy"

On 19 September 2011, the World Jewish Congress co-hosted a conference entitled 'The Rights of Israel as a Nation-State of the Jewish People in International Diplomacy'. The event in Jerusalem, organized together with the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, examined the historical and legal rights of the Jewish people with the aim of countering the assaults to undermine Israel's legitimacy to deny the Jewish people's right to self-determination.

The conference also launched a book by the same name, edited by former Israeli ambassador to Canada Alan Baker, with contributions by Shlomo Avineri, Alan Dershowitz, Ruth Gavison, Martin Gilbert, Dore Gold, Ruth Lapidoth, Nicholas Rostow, and WJC Secretary General Dan Diker.
