Two staunch Christian allies of Israel – a priest who argues for Arab Christians’ integration into Israeli society and the leader of one of the largest women’s Christian organizations -- were honored by World Jewish Congress Israel and the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus (KCAC) at a dinner in Jerusalem on 29 January 2014.

Father Gabriel Naddaf, a Greek Orthodox priest from the Galilee who advocates for Arab Christian participation in the IDF and other institutions was honored along with Jane Hansen Hoyt, President and CEO of Aglow International, a non-enominational Christian women’s group that encourages Christian tourism to Israel.

“During these times when some call for a boycott of Israel, it becomes even more important to create and strengthen ties with Christian leaders and communities who wholeheartedly support the Jewish state,” said the Chairman of WJC-Israel, Shai Hermesh. “We are proud to honor brave Christian leader Father Gabriel Nadaf, who has chosen the path of partnership with the State of Israel as way of life for him and his community, and Jane Hansen Hoyt, a courageous leader of Christian women worldwide who works to bring visitors to Israel and strengthen the Jewish people."
