Born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1968.
Married to Carina Paluch.
Since 2003, he integrates the World Jewish Congress, as the Director of the Latin American branch, the Latin American Jewish Congress.
During this period, he participated in many meetings with chiefs of states and other important personalities in the politics field, representing the WJC and the LAJC. He also participated in UN, OAS and OSCE sessions.
In the inter-religious arena, he was the observer on behalf of the Judaism in the Fifth General Conference of CELAM in Aparecida, Brazil. He met with pope Benedict XVI and other catholic leaders. He is an active promoter of dialogue between Jews and Muslims in the region.
The Latin American Jewish Congress is the federative organization that represents the Latin American and Caribbean Jewish Communities. It works actively as part of the civil society, fighting against anti-Semitism, discrimination and xenophobia and supporting the development of the societies, based on education, fraternity and minorities inclusion. LAJC has its headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Previously, Epelman was the Executive Director of the Jewish Community of Córdoba, one of the main cities of Argentina.
