Israel Branch
The Israel Branch of the World Jewish Congress is comprised
of representatives of all Zionist political parties represented
in the Knesset and of public bodies and international organizations
which have their headquarters in Israel.
The Israel Branch works with the international WJC organization
and its affiliates to help foster Israel-Diaspora relations,
fight anti-Semitism and engage in interfaith dialogue. It
serves as a liason between the international WJC organization
and the Knesset, the Israeli government and its ministries
and agencies, and with various public institutions in Israel,
e.g. the Jewish Agency for Israel, Beth Hatefutsoth (the
Nachum Goldmann Museum of the Jewish Diaspora), and Yad
Vashem. The Israel Branch also provides a home for the Institute
of the World Jewish Congress and the Israel
Council on Foreign Relations, and it hosts
the WJC's General Assemblies, which are held every five
years in Jerusalem.
